Through this prayer, we plead for healing for those who are unwell, financial support for the poor, and peace and wellness for Israel and all of humankind. Liska has always been a special place in the Jewish world, as it was here that the Liska Rebbe built the famous synagogue, which was among the largest in Europe at the time. The memory of the town and its tzadik remains alive and vibrant in Jewish communities, as countless individuals come to request blessings following the Kivrei Tzadikim customs.

Rebbe Hershele Lisker (רבי הערשעלע ליסקער), also known as Zvi Hirsh Friedmann (צבי הירש פרידמאן), or the renowned author of the Ach Pri Tevu'ah (אך פרי תבואה), was among the great hasidic leaders, and his teachings continue to influence his followers to this day. The Rebbe was a devoted disciple of the renowned Teitelbaum Moshe zt"l (משה טייטלבוים זצ״ל), better known as the Yismach Moshe (ישמח משה), from whom he acquired profound Torah knowledge and Hasidic wisdom. This close disciple relationship remains alive in the hasidic communities, especially among the Satmar followers, who honor the memory of both Teitelbaum and Rebbe Hershele Lisker.
